Overview
Fairy Tales by Kamu provides cleaned and adapted fairy tales, illustrations, audio readings, read-along timing, and story video links or embeds on the web, iOS, and Android.
The free catalog does not require an account. A TAuth account is required to buy, restore, or use Kamu Tales Pro across platforms. We process only the information needed to operate, secure, measure, support, and improve those experiences.
Information We Process
We may process technical website data such as pages visited, referrers, browser and device details, approximate timestamps, IP-derived network information, performance data, and error diagnostics.
When you sign in, TAuth provides a stable account identifier and the basic profile information authorized by the sign-in provider. Kamu uses that identifier to keep your account and subscription separate from every other user.
For subscription access, Kamu and RevenueCat process the stable customer identifier tauth:<user-id>, the purchase platform, product and entitlement identifiers, transaction references, purchase and expiration times, renewal state, and subscription-management URL. This lets one verified entitlement follow the same TAuth identity across web, iOS, and Android.
If you send feedback or contact us, we process the message contents and any contact details you choose to include.
When you use embedded or linked media, third-party services such as YouTube may receive interaction, device, and network information under their own terms and privacy policies.
Device Permissions and Sensitive Categories
Kamu does not ask for phone contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, SMS, call logs, health data, store-account passwords, or full payment-card details. Apple, Google, or Paddle processes payment credentials for purchases made through its platform. If you include sensitive information in a feedback message or email, we process it only as part of that message.
The website uses ordinary browser storage only for visitor-controlled reading preferences and playback experience. It does not use device permissions to collect data from a phone, tablet, or computer.
How We Use Information
We use website and feedback information to keep the site working, understand which stories and pages are useful, troubleshoot defects, prevent abuse, respond to messages, and improve the reading, listening, and watching experience.
We do not sell personal information and do not use the site data we control to build third-party advertising profiles.
Third-Party Services
Kamu may use TAuth for identity, RevenueCat for subscription status, Apple App Store and Google Play for native purchases, Paddle for web checkout, hosting and content-delivery providers, LoopAware for feedback and traffic measurement, and YouTube or YouTube-nocookie embeds for story videos.
Apple, Google, Paddle, and RevenueCat process purchase and subscription information under their own privacy terms. Paddle is the merchant of record for web purchases. Kamu does not receive your full payment-card details from those providers.
The site may also link to podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music. Those links take visitors to external services governed by their own policies.
Google and YouTube services are governed by their own policies, including Google's privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy.
Those providers may process technical data according to their own policies. We choose these services to operate the public site, not to require visitor accounts on Fairy Tales by Kamu.
Google OAuth and Google API Data
The public story catalog does not require Google sign-in. When a user chooses Google sign-in or a Google or YouTube account connection, we use Google OAuth only for the account holder who chooses to connect and only for permissions shown on the Google consent screen.
Depending on the connected feature and scopes approved by the user, Google user data may include basic profile or account identifiers and Google or YouTube channel, playlist, video, thumbnail, and metadata fields needed to provide the requested story video, publishing, import, verification, or account feature. We do not request contacts, phone, SMS, call logs, microphone, camera, precise location, health, or payment-card data from Google APIs.
We use Google user data only to provide and improve prominent user-facing connected-account features, troubleshoot and secure those features, prevent abuse, and comply with law. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.
We store Google user data only as long as needed for the authorized feature, security, legal, abuse-prevention, and recordkeeping purposes. Any stored Google authorization tokens are treated as sensitive credentials.
We do not transfer Google user data except to service providers needed to operate the requested feature, for security or legal reasons, as part of a business transaction with required consent where applicable, or at the user's explicit direction. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google's API user-data policy, including the Limited Use requirements: Google API Services User Data Policy.
You can revoke access from the Google connected apps and services page: Google connected apps and services page. You may also request deletion of stored Google-authorized data by emailing support@mprlab.com.
Children and Families
Fairy Tales by Kamu is made for family use. Children should use feedback, email, or external links only with a parent or guardian.
We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. Children can use the free catalog without an account. Account creation, external-account connection, and subscription purchase should be completed only by the account holder or an authorized adult. Parents or guardians can contact us to request deletion of information a child may have submitted.
Retention and Requests
We keep account, entitlement, operational, analytics, and feedback information only as long as useful for the purposes above or as needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, support, and recordkeeping reasons. Payment platforms may retain their own transaction records under their policies and legal obligations.
